World of Warcraft Banks

The World of Warcraft has a very sophisticated economic system for a universe inhabited by monsters of every type. Then again, most loan officers in the real world sometimes seem to be nothing more than monsters with human masks, so why not? As you make your way through the various lands and levels that make up the World of Warcraft, you will begin to collect items, armor, weapons and other stuff. Banks are a terrific place to store these things until you need them and you can find banks in all the big cities.

The easiest way to find a bank is simply to ask someone. Banks are identified with by a sign outside featuring a stack of coins. Inside, the bankers will have a tag under their name identifying them as a banker. Your storage space inside the bank is yours alone; it can’t be shared with other players. In addition, if you have other several players under your account, each character will have its own individual bank space.

Of course, you can purchase additional storage space at the bank. This space comes with slots to be used for storing bags of items and the bigger the bag, the more space you’ve got. With each additional slot, the price rises so that the price for the final slots can get to be quite expensive.

The word bank can be kind of confusing since you don’t actually store any money in a bank. Money is always carried with you, everywhere you go and no matter what you’re doing. On the other hand, when you acquire quest items, it is best to store them in a bank whenever you move to another region. That way when you return to that particular region, you can go to the bank and withdraw them when you need them.

The bank you can use depends upon whether you are a member of the Horde or the Alliance. If you are a Horde player, you can use any Horde bank; same thing with the Alliance. But Alliance players are prohibited from using Horde banks and vice versa. Also of note is the World of Warcraft’s ATM system. In this case, ATM stands for automated teleportation module and it basically means that any items deposited into one bank can be withdrawn any other bank in which you have access.
